The monitor accepts input from a variety of sensors, such as proximity sensors, rotary position sensors (RPT), DC linear variable differential transformers (DC LVDT), AC linear variable differential transformers (AC LVDT), and rotary potentiometers. This diverse input capability enables it to adapt to different monitoring needs and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data.

After receiving the input signal, the Bently 3500/45 position monitor preprocesses it and compares the adjusted signal with a user-programmable alert. Once an abnormal signal is detected, that is, the preset alarm set point is exceeded, the monitor immediately triggers an alarm to notify operations and maintenance personnel.
